Time For Prayer

The name Praying Mantis refers to the way the insect bends its front legs so they are at an angle as if folded in prayer.  Most mantids live in the tropics and there are approximately 2000 species of them.  Coming in an array of stunning colours and sizes, they are also the only insect to be able to turn its head 180° from side-to-side.
